unprotected areas. Well, not always but often.

Plastic Covering for Furniture Summary

  3.  Cinch the extra plastic

Paint gets everywhere, be prepared. No matter how carful you are, or how far the painted area is from
the furniture, paint can still find its way onto un-protected areas. When painting an interior, it is always
recommended that you protect your furniture. It will be a quick and easy step to the beginning of your
interior painting job.

How do you cover furniture with plastic?

Before covering your furniture with plastic, first cover the floor. Coving the floor along with draping a
plastic cover over your furniture will ensure that all sides of your furniture will be protected, even the
bottom.

After your floor is covered with plastic, or any protective material, place the furniture on top. After this
is done, place a generous amount of plastic coving on top of the furniture. With your furniture covered
in plastic, tape the bottom edges of the plastic to the floor. The fact that you have extra plastic will make
sure that the cover does not get ripped if stepped on.

Now that your furniture is covered with protective plastic. You can tuck away all the excess plastic to
prevent snags from you walking by it over and over. This is a simple process. Just place a strip of tape
around the covered furniture and cinch it like a loose-fitting belt. Now your furniture is fully protected.
